Craft Music owner Tomcraft took the time he needed together with studiopartner Luetzenkirchen to work on new tracks for 2009 and they were more productive then ever. The result were two heavy eps full of a great variation of atmospheres and sounds with subtle vocaltracks (“Something’s Wrong”), uplifting anthems (“Car Thief”) and pure techno rockers (“Disco Erection” and “Look Around”). Believe it or not, it’s been 2 years since Tomcraft’s last release on his own Craft Music imprint but it was worth waiting for it. Together with his buddy Lützenkirchen he finally produced this great EP featuring vocals from Brooklyn’s legendary DJ, producer and singer Tommie Sunshine, famous for his productions, vocals or collaborations on labels like Kitsuné, Gigolo and Systematic. The result is just a very unexpected combination of Tomcraft’s fantastic Techhouse skills and Tommie’s wicked voice and lyrics. Whether it’s on the techier “New York Storm” or the dub-influenced “Bavarian Storm In New York”, it’s simply outstanding. The instrumentals “Storm” and “Bavarian Storm” are ideal for all non-vocal players while last of all it’s the amazing slowed down radio version of “New York Storm”.
